the AM and then at 12:20 all seniors will meet in the gym for Senior Check Out. This process
must be completed to participate in graduation. During senior check out the following things will
occur: turn in TSD laptops if you have one, pay all fines, check out with counselor for final credit
check, receive 6 graduation tickets, have the opportunity to donate graduation tickets or receive
extras, pick up immunization records, watch a video of senior year, and listen to the class
chosen staff speaker. After this concludes, all seniors will be invited to take one final walk down
the hallways of THS as the underclassmen and staff cheer them on. Running Start students can
pick up their forms in the counseling office between 7:00 AM and 3:00 PM if they are unable to
attend due to a college class schedule. Further, PTA is working on the possibility of providing an
opportunity for seniors to walk their elementary school hallway in their cap and gown. PTA will
communicate logistics if this becomes a scheduled event.
June 15: This is a required school day. Seniors need to report to the THS gym for graduation
rehearsal at 8:00 AM. We will have the gym set up like ShoWare Center and we will mimic
graduation. Students will be released after rehearsal at 11:30 for the remainder of the school
day. Seniors need to be at ShoWare at 5:30 PM for the 7:00 PM graduation ceremony.
Graduation caps may be decorated in a school appropriate fashion, like last year. All caps will
be checked for appropriateness the night of the ceremony. If school personnel deem a cap
inappropriate, the student will receive a plain one to wear. Students who earn THS honor cords
or medallions may wear them during graduation. Students are also allowed to wear cultural
regalia that is school appropriate as per OSPI regulations. Finally, purses or bags of any kind
are not allowed on the graduation floor. Students need to leave these items at home or with
parents/family members.
June 15: PTA is sponsoring Grad Night. The buses will leave right from ShoWare after
graduation. Please contact our amazing PTA if you would like to purchase a ticket for this fun
and safe experience.
June 16-27: If your diploma does not get picked up after graduation at ShoWare, you may pick it
up in the front office at THS through June 27 between 7:30-10:00 AM.
